Adding the Content Search facilities  to your eLearning Platform enables your Users to Search your Content for the material they specifically need.

There are two approaches you can take that, together allow content search of your Library, including eLearnCommerce content titles, section titles, course titles, lesson content and section content, to be placed anywhere on your WP site, allowing for both full and partial search terms.

You can create dedicated Search bars for each one of the 6 eLearnCommerce Content Types.

1.: Courses Search
2.: E-Books Search
3.: Offers Search
4.: Videos Search
5.: List Items Search
6.: Scorm Courses Search

And 1 Search bar that searches all eLearnCommerce Content Types.

Note: The Content Search bar allows you to search all eLearnCommerce Content Types.

You can set the Search Icon Background Color in eLearnCommerce Settings → General → Design Options → Primary Colour.

Implementation of Content Search Bar by Shortcode

Using the Shortcode enables you to add the eLearnCommerce content search bar to any WordPress page or post (including eLearnCommerce lessons and eLearnCommerce index pages).

You can also use any WordPress page builder like Thrive Content Builder, the Divi Builder, Elementor, Beaver Builder or Visual Composer.

Method 1. How to add a eLearnCommerce Content Search bar using the Shortcode.

You can add the Content Search bar shortcode to any page or post in WordPress or using any WordPress Page Builder (Thrive Content Builder, the Divi Builder, Beaver Builder, Elementor, and Visual Composer etc.).

To add content search functionality go to any WP Page or Post, in the WYSIWYG Text Editor, click the eLearnCommerce Shortcodes Drop-Down Menu and select Search Bar. Then choose which type of Search Bar you’d like to use.

1.Navigate to the page where you’d like to add content search.
2. Click the eLearnCommerce Shortcode Builder in the editor.
3. Select Search Bar and choose the type of search you’d like to insert.

As you can see, this is a simple, yet powerful way to allow your students to search your content from your index pages, courses lessons, pages or posts. Having this facility is wonderful, but sometimes a search bar contained within the Right Hand Column of your site is just what you need.
