This guide will walk you through adding Categories that will be displayed on the Index Page. You need a minimum of 2 categories, even if empty, to display the category header.

1.: Login to your WordPress website, and visit the wp-admin.
 2.: Locate eLearnCommerce on the left menu, and choose the All Categories page
 3.: You can add a Category very easily, there are a few useful options. Below the image, there's an explanation for the core points.

  1. Parent category: if you want to split courses into more levels, these are recommended. You can categorize your content using 1st, 2nd and 3rd level categories.
  2. Category icon: this is optional and it's available only for categories without a parent. You may want to add images to all top level categories or not, it's all up to you.
  3. Link: this is 100% optional. You should add a link if you want to link to an external source using a good looking box, that looks the same as the category filters. This will work perfectly if you want to link to a facebook group, a support desk or pretty much any important resource.
  4. You can also place a course in as many categories as you want, but you should place each course under at least 1 category or it will not be present on the index page ( if you have more than 2 categories created ).
